Purely Wondrous Inspiration

AWC Planners Workshop Speaker Spotlight: Michelle Gainey {Lemiga Events}

Tom Peters of Fast Company said, "A brand is a promise of the value received." Michelle Gainey, Lead Designer of Lemiga Events, has built her brand believing that statement. I had the privilege of meeting Michelle just before she opened StudioWed and remember thinking, this young lady is really going to change the Atlanta wedding industry. Michelle has successfully built her own brand and had a hand in taking the StudioWed brand to another level. For those of you unfamiliar with StudioWed, it is an exclusive collection of Atlanta's wedding vendors representing the finest wedding professionals that service the Atlanta area. This is a hip and revolutionary concept in local and destination weddings in Atlanta: a stylish and sophisticated planning studio where the area's best vendors come to you. Meet with a photographer over coffee in the morning and enjoy a glass of wine as you chat with a florist in the afternoon. Best of all, there's no cost to you to use StudioWed's services, so you can feel free to spend an entire day -- or as many as you need -- planning your big day. Michelle has built a great balance between the two businesses and an awesome staff to help her maintain them. As Lead Designer and Planner of Lemiga Events, Michelle is a girly girl. She loves shoes, dresses, makeup and everything about being a woman! Michelle loves a challenge. She's always looking to do things differently than how they’ve always been done. Lemiga Events is a premier event design boutique specializing in stylish and glamorous affairs for a discerning clientele. They are passionate about creating unique and exceptional moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. Their love for design and intricate details is what defines our signature event style. Enchanting venues, sumptuous fabrics, stunning florals and captivating stationery are some of the elements that make our events spectacular. I love working with Michelle. She is the epitome of a wedding planner. Her glamorous style and attention to detail ensures that each and every client feels appreciated, her service is valued, and the wedding is amazing! What I love most is that Michelle, like me, is a mom! She is married and has two adorable daughters. I know that she is setting an example of how to be successful in every aspect of life. Kudos Mrs. Gainey!

Michelle has a passion for educating and inspiring fellow associates in the wedding and event industry. You can hear her share her knowledge in an intimate setting and speak with her personally at the Atlanta Planner's Workshop at StudioWed happening February 18-19, 2012. 2010 :: Year In Review

At the end of 2009, I remember questioning Webster because there was no word to describe how awesome 2009 was for Papered Wonders, Inc. At the end of 2010, I find myself in the same position. Actually, I am facing an even greater challenge to sum up 2010 because it literally took...our...breath...away. In 2010, we were supremely blessed. We were fortunate to form new business relationships, both on the corporate level and the social level. We met an array of new event planners, both locally and nationally, and thereby were able to serve a number of brides during the planning of their most special day. We are deeply appreciative of the clients who we have served through the years, and consider it a continued pleasure to serve them year after year. This past year we created a significant number of baby shower invitations, signaling that the population is ever-growing. We helped brand various new ventures and companies. We spent 2010 doing what we love to do-creating papered wonders. Perhaps two of our most memorable moments of 2010 happened in July and December. In July, we joined the StudioWed Atlanta team, under the leadership of Michelle Gainey. Through this venture, we are able to work with some of Atlanta's most talented wedding professionals. In December, we launched Lending a Hand, Helping a Life, an opportunity to bless those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We held our first Christmas luncheon and partnered with many wedding professionals to create a day of blessings for ten very deserving families. We look forward to expanding the service of LHHL in 2011.
In 2010, we realized that despite the state of our economy, we have God's unmerited favor because we were blessed to not only survive, but to thrive. 2010 was certainly a banner year for Papered Wonders, Inc. and we wait in great anticipation for all that 2011 will bring us. It will be an exceptional year because we will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of serving the world's greatest clients. It is certainly difficult to sum up 2010 in one word. Therefore, I dare not even try.
To have been in business for ten years and still be absolutely, positively in love with your business- now that's purely wondrous inspiration.
Happy New Year!

Paper Doll Fun!

We are excited to team up with our fellow StudioWed Atlanta stationer, Luxe Expressions, for an afternoon of fun creating DIY Bridesmaid Invitations. We thought it would be great to continue with the Paper Doll theme for this Sunday's Inspired Bride event at StudioWed. We found this idea on One.Simple.Addition's blog displaying a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) project originally designed by Rifle Design. Debra from Luxe Expressions, put her creative twist to the design. For brides who have yet to invite their best girls to be a part of their special day, this is a cute, creative and personal way to share their sentiments.

For the Inspired Bride event, we strive to think outside of the box and come up with displays and interactive tools to truly inspire brides before their big day. You can mingle with our other StudioWed vendors, listen to live music, taste bites from our caterer, sample some cake at a tasting, and see inspiration tables designed and executed by Papered Wonders, Inc. and other vendors. Registered brides who attend will have the chance to win giveaways from our sponsors including a 4 Day/3 night land honeymoon in the Caribbean.

It's not too late! Register at http://studiowedinspired.eventbrite.com/.

Meet us in Midtown!

2010 has been a stellar year for our wedding stationery business. This wedding season has been awesome as we've had the opportunity to develop some great relationship with wedding and event planners and designers all over Atlanta. Our custom stationery designs have been recognized by planners nationwide and the requests are still coming in for affordable custom stationery. The Atlanta wedding industry is like no other big city in the country, as we love partnering with each other to help make couples' dreams come true. As industry professionals, we lunch together, network together, and even plan and design events together. Papered Wonders, Inc. is a team-minded company. We love to support others in their business endeavors, even other stationers and graphic designers. Our thought is this: there is certainly enough business to go around for everyone. Realizing every client is not ours, it is important to get to know others in the industry so that our referrals remain confident in the vendors we recommend. We truly believe God has favored us.
As we enter into the second half of the year, we are excited to announce Papered Wonders, Inc. is now a part of StudioWed Atlanta. Under the leadership of Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events, this is a hip and revolutionary concept in local and destination weddings in Atlanta: a stylish and sophisticated planning studio where the area's best vendors come to you. Meet with a photographer over coffee in the morning, pick your stationery over lunch and enjoy a glass of wine as you chat with a florist later in the afternoon. Best of all, there's no cost to you to use StudioWed's services, so you can feel free to spend an entire day -- or as many as you need -- planning your big day.
We are honored to be a part of such an exclusive group of vendors and look forward to providing the same excellent service as you've come to expect at Papered Wonders, Inc. For more information about StudioWed, visit www.studiowed.net/atlanta.
